ABILENE— The Wildcats opened their weekend against New Mexico on Friday night with the Lobos earning the 3-0 win.
Jada Birkel continued her solid play on the right side and came away with her third double-digit kill effort of the season. ACU struggled to find their offensive footing early, but came together to push UNM in set three.
Madison Lawler led the team with 16 digs in the match and
Lindsey Toney added 11 kills of her own.

- Birkel's .391 hitting percentage was her best of the season, topping her opening night .371 against UTA.
