Wildcats on the road to face Sooners Tuesday night

NORMAN, Okla. - The Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the North Texas Challenge where they earned win over Montana State and Jackson State. The team will have another tough challenge ahead as they face their second Big 12 opponent of the season in Oklahoma on Tuesday night. 

SERIES HISTORY

This will be the first meeting between the two programs. 

ACU STORYLINES

  • Brea Box hit .588 over three matches last weekend and totaled 31 kills on her way to a WAC Offensive Player of the Week award.
  • The Wildcats have two players leading the WAC in statistical categories: Lindsey Toney leads in kills per set (4.74) and Madison Rohre leads in assists per set (10.65).
  • Madison Lawler surpassed 1500 digs her career over the weekend. She had 1, 389 during her time at USM and now has 127 through her first nine matches with the Wildcats.
  • ACU has four players hitting .200 or better on the season (Lindsey Toney, Braden Bossier, Jada Birkel, Brea Box).
  • Madison Rohre is continues to run a solid offense for the Wildcats with 324 assists on the year, well on her way to surpass her total of 802 in her freshman season.

SCOUTING THE SOONERS

  • Oklahoma is 4-5 on the season. After dropping their first three matches, they won four in a row before dropping their last two. The team has wins over Air Force, Seattle, Gonzaga, and Indiana.
  • Megan Wilson has been the bulk of OU's offense this season with 153 of the team's 459 kills on the year and is hitting .236 through nine matches. 
  • Peyton Dunn is hitting .519 for the Sooners with 31 kills on on 54 attempts.
  • Oklahoma has hit .250 or better as a team in four matches, they are 3-1 in those matches.
