HOUSTON— The Wildcats traveled to face Houston Baptist on Tuesday night in the final week of regular season play. The Huskies came into the night with a 7-3 conference record while ACU was just one game back in the standing at 6-4 in Southland play.
The Wildcats struggled to get going offensively in the first set, going up against the best blocking team in the conference. The team hit a -.056 in set one on the way to a 25-17 loss. ACU bounced back with a strong showing in set two, coming back from down seven points to tie the set at 19-all.
Katelyn Mueller had six kills in the set, but HBU pulled away over the last few points to take the 2-0 set lead. Once again, the Wildcats were able to compete early and gain as much as a five-point lead in the third set, but the Huskies chipped away at the lead. ACU struggled to put the ball down on offense and HBU earned the sweep.

News and Notes
- Mueller notched a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs on the night. The senior hit .206 and no other Wildcats had more than five kills on the night.
- Braden Bossier had an efficient night at the net hitting .364 with 5 kills but had just 11 attempts.
- Harris dominated the back line with 20 digs in just three sets.
- The Wildcats went 5-3 on their home court this season, but are just 2-3 on the road.
- The had just three blocks on the night while the Huskies put up nine.
