HAMMOND, La.— The Wildcats came off their bye week and headed out on a tough weekend road trip. ACU faced the Lady Lions of Southeastern Louisiana and fell in four sets. The team was competitive through the first set, but errors hindered the Wildcats early. ACU hit -.034 in the first set and also had four receiving errors, ultimately falling 19-25.
The Wildcats were able to bounce back for a better offensive outing in set two, but after taking a 23-20 lead, SLU ran off five-straight points to end the set. ACU was able to take one from the Lady Lions in set three, the team hit .250 in the set and tallied three blocks on their way to the 25-22 win. The fourth and final set was all SLU as they got out to the early 5-0 lead and used that momentum to carry them to a 25-9 win.
