ABILENE, Texas— The Wildcats put together an all-around team win in their conference home opener on Thursday afternoon against McNeese. Weather forced the match to be moved to an earlier time of 3 p.m. but ACU still came out ready to play. Mueller notched her fourth double-double in five matches and led the way as ACU earned the four-set victory.
ACU made quick work of the first two sets, winning 25-16 and 25-18, and held the commanding 2-0 set lead. The Cowgirls made a small run at the end of the second set that helped them carry momentum into set three. McNeese got out to a 7-5 lead in the third before the Wildcats were able to respond with a 7-2 run of their own to take a three-point lead. The Cowgirls were able to respond with a run of their own and capped off a set three win with a dominant block. The Wildcats opened the fourth set 7-2, aided by two aces from Mueller. McNeese was able to get back in it and keep the match close, but with the set tied 21-21 ACU ran off four-straight points to win the set and match.

- Mueller notched her fourth double-double of the season with 23 kills and 14 digs. Her 23 kills marked a career-high and is tied for the third most kills in a match in ACU history.
- Mueller also moved into fourth in DI history for career kills at 704 passing Marybeth Sandercox.
- No other Wildcat hit double digit kills, but three had at least five on the afternoon.
- Mackenzie Harris led the way with 19 digs for ACU while also adding six assists and two service aces.
- In her first action in the front row this season, Madison Rohre tallied a huge block with Braden Bossier to help close the match out late.
- Laskoskie and Glueck each totaled 13 kills for the Cowgirls.
