Bonnarens, Griswold pace 'Cats against Bears

ABILENE – Grad transfer Jamie Bonnarens put together her seventh-straight double-digit effort, and Sarah Griswold tallied 11 points as the ACU women's basketball team fell to the Northern Colorado Bears Sunday afternoon at the Teague Center. It was a back-and-forth game that featured seven ties and 10 lead changes, and UNC (3-7) pulled away in the fourth quarter to win the game, 70-58. It was just the second matchup between the teams, as the teams met last season in Greeley, Colo.

Turning Point: The end of the third quarter.
Northern Colorado started to pull away at the end of the third. The Bears went on a 11-2 run to end the third quarter, after trailing ACU by two. The Bears led by seven, 52-45, after three quarters, and the game never got closer than seven points in the fourth quarter.

- 1Q | Taylor Morgan hit a three-pointer halfway through the opening quarter to get ACU within four, 11-7.
- 1Q | Bonnarens hit a mid-range jumper to give ACU its first lead, 14-13, with two minutes left in the period.
- 2Q | Kamryn Mraz hit a three-pointer for the first points of the second quarter to put ACU down just one, 18-17.
