ABILENE - Wildcat golf finished middle of the pack Tuesday at the Collin Montgomerie - Houston Baptist Invitational, placing sixth of 12 schools (third of seven Southland schools) with a two-day, three-round score of 14-over 878. ACU's round-by-round totals were 291, 292 and 295.
Senior
Bryce Dooley finished the course at Augusta Pines (Spring, Texas) at even par 216. He carded a 72 (par) and 73 Monday and was 1-under 71 today to place seventh of 75 competitors.

Brian Choe,
Alex Clouse,
Francisco Osio) all finished seven or more strokes above par, while junior
Jake Bay, competing as an individual, tied for 26th at 5-over 221.
Only six players finished under par with medalist honors going to JT Pittman of Midland CC at 4-under 212. His team, however, fell into a tie for second place today as UTRGV captured the team trophy with a 3-over 867.Â
Midland CC and New Orleans tied for runner-up honors. Weber State placed fourth at 10-over 874, and host HBU was fifth at 12-over 876.Â
ACU was five strokes better than seventh-place SFA (19-over 883), while fellow Southland schools UIW, Southeastern La., and McNeese all finished 17 or more strokes behind UTRGV.
Next up for the Wildcats is a trip to Kerrville, Texas and Comanche Trace for UTRGV's Big Texan, March 23-24.
