YOUNGSVILLE, La.—The Wildcats suffered two tough losses on Saturday, but that was not weighing on the team as they suited up for Sunday's competition. ACU had two more games to play and they won both in dominating fashion. Up first, the team faced Alcorn State putting up 11 runs and winning by run-rule in six innings. In a similar script, the team wasted no time putting up 10 runs on Mississippi Valley State while
Alivia Sinnott tossed a no hitter to back up their offensive performance.
Game 1
ACU took no time to get their offense going Sunday morning. The team put two runners on via the walk before Sam Bradley drove in both runs with a double down the left field line.
Calie Burris followed with a double of her own and the Wildcats held a 3-0 lead after an inning. After no score in the second inning, each team tacked on another run in the third. The teams were scoreless again in the fourth inning before the Wildcats put three runs in the fifth and another four in sixth to earn the 11-1 win.
Game 2
The second game saw even more offense from the Wildcats and a flawless pitching performance from
Alivia Sinnott. Sinnott threw a no-hitter over five innings while ACU put up 10 runs in that span.
Briana Tijerina led the game off with a triple and it was a signal of more to come. The Wildcats scored in the first four innings getting big hits from several players.
Samantha Bradley had a solo homerun and a double in back-to-back at bats and six other players drove in runs in the game.

- Sinnott's no-hitter was the first since Hannah Null no-hit Southern Illinois in a five inning game in 2018.
- In just her second start on the season, Blakeli Brookerson went 3-4 against Alcorn with on e RBI.

Caroline Adair went 5-6 on the day with four extra-base hits, three RBIs and a walk.
- The Wildcats scored 10 runs against Mississippi Valley State with 10 different players scoring a run.
- The team totaled six extra-base hits against MVSU.

On the team responding after tough losses yesterday: "I'm very proud of how the team responded today. They showed fight and the ability to bounce back after a long, hard day yesterday."
On Brookerson stepping up today and the expectation for each player to step up when needed: "Blakeli did an excellent job for us. This is a great example of a kid who goes hard every rep and is prepared to contribute in whatever role she is given. This is exactly what the expectation is for every player in our program. In order for us to be the best we can be, all members of the program need to compete every day and be prepared to be called upon at any moment."
On the solid performances in the circle today: "Alivia throwing a no hitter was huge. She controlled the hitters and our defense played solid behind her. It was great to see both Sam and Alivia have dominant performances while our offense was able to tack on runs."
On coming back to Abilene for their home opener: "We are excited to play on our home field in front of our fans. It will be great to be able to show our fans the changes and adjustments we've made to our style of ball in comparison to years past. We haven't completely found our identity yet as a team. Hopefully being able to play at home will help us to start solidifying the energy that we want to have and the consistent fight we want to play with."
