MBB faces tough test in Fayetteville on Tuesday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Wildcats have another tough test on the horizon as they prepare to face the undefeated Razorbacks. Arkansas is coming off a come from behind win over Oral Roberts and is currently 7-0 on the season. ACU has won their previous two games and will look to carry their momentum into Tuesday's game. The game will feature the Wildcats top defense against one of the best offensive teams in the country. The Wildcats have had six days to prepare for their second Power 5 matchup of the season and will look to bring the same competitiveness and fight they showed against Tech.

ACU STORYLINES

  • The Wildcats are coming off one of their best offensive performance of the season where they put up a season-high 95 points and shot 47 percent from the field
  • The team continues to get a balanced scoring effort and have three different players averaging just under point per game
  • Joe Pleasant is coming off another great offensive performance where he tied his career-high with 20 points against Hardin-Simmons
  • After starting the season hot from three-point range, ACU has struggled to shoot from deep in recent contests, the team shot under 30 percent from three in each of their last two outings
  • ACU remains one of the best defensive teams in the country as they rank ninth in scoring defense, holding teams to just 55.8 points per game, and second in forced turnovers, forcing almost 24 turnovers per game

SCOUTING ARKANSAS

  • The Razorbacks have a quick turnaround as they played Sunday afternoon and had to come from behind to earn the win over Oral Roberts to move to 7-0
  • The team is averaging almost 48 rebounds per game and hold a plus-13 rebounding margin for the season
  • Arkansas has not had to travel yet this season as they have hosted all of their non-conference games
  • The team has five players averaging in double figures led by Moses Moody who is averaging 16.3 points per game
