ABILENE - The Abilene Christian men's tennis team can even its season record at 3-3 Friday should it sweep its indoor doubleheader at the Teague Special Events Center. Action gets underway at 9 a.m. with ACU vs. Prairie View A&M and concludes at 6 p.m. when the Wildcats battle their former Southland Conference rivals from Oral Roberts. Admission is free.
ACU is 10-0 vs. the Panthers over the last decade, during which time the Wildcats have only surrendered one point to their in-state rivals. The Wildcats also are undefeated vs. the Golden Eagles at 5-0, however, many of their battles have been much closer with the exception of last year's meeting in Tulsa - a 7-0 triumph for the Purple and White.
The Wildcats are off to a 1-3 start with all three defeats coming against Power Five schools from Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas Tech, which rallied to defeat ACU, 4-3, last Monday in Lubbock.
