"GOOD"-IE BAG OF QUOTES
Head Coach Julie Goodenough
On the long, grueling conference season...
"The basketball season is long. It spans two semesters. We want to just be focused on the task at hand, and we want to be where our feet on. It's a marathon. There are so many scouting reports, so many road trips... it's a long, taxing season. We have a lot of work to do. We don't want to pace yourself, because you can't step back and let up, but we just want to focus on what's next."
On learning from the loss last week...
"We have to be constantly evaluating. Obviously, you'd love to learn from a situation and still win the game, but that didn't happen Saturday. We have things to improve on and things to accomplish today. Even in things like blocking out and rebounding. If we have a lapse defensively, if you close out and rebound, that typically doesn't matter. So we just have to evaluate and get better every day."
On her team's bye week to get ready for Southeastern Louisiana...
"You have to utilize the bye to do whatever is best. We took the day off. It's the first week of class, and we just needed to take a break and focus on us and then get ready for Southeastern Louisiana. You just have to do what is best for the group of players you have."

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA (5-10, 2-4)

- SLU is averaging 62 points per game, and is only shooting 39% from the floor for the season. The calling card is scrappy, hard-nose defense, which is allowing just 68 per contest.
- Celica Sterling leads the team in scoring at 13.7 per game, and has connected on 32 of the 91 triples made for the Lady Lions this season.
