DAYTON, Ohio – The Wildcat women's basketball team (2-0) will easily have its biggest test of the young season on Friday night when it battles the defending Horizon League tournament champion Raiders of Wright State at the Nutter Center. The two teams will meet for the first time ever at 6 p.m. central time (7 p.m. eastern).

SERIES HISTORY
- The teams are getting together for the first time ever. Wright State resides in the Horizon League and are coached by Katrina Merriweather, who is in her fourth season at the helm of the Raiders. The program reached the 2018 WNIT and has reached the Horizon Tournament Championship Game each of the last two seasons. The team reached the NCAA Tournament last year, falling to Texas A&M in College Station, Texas in the first round.
ACU STORYLINES
- ACU is up to No. 21 in the latest Mid Major Poll, and received a vote in the first USA Today Coaches' Poll.
- The Wildcats are 2-0 after posting back-to-back 100-point games to start a season for the first time ever, and the first consecutive game stretch since the 1995-96 season. ACU topped McMurry 111-43 before taking out Southwest, 104-52 on Kids' Day.
- The team is currently second in the country in scoring at 107.5 points per game and second in scoring margin at +60. ACU's 27 three-pointers made rank fourth in the country and its 59% shooting percentage from the floor ranks second in all of college basketball as well.
- ACU is fourth in the nation in assists per game (25.5), assist/turnover ratio (2.3), and steals per game (18.0).

Anna McLeod was named Southland Conference Honorable Mention Player of the Week after scoring 34 points in two games. McLeod has hit seven three-pointers on the young season, her first playing for the Wildcats after sitting out last season as a transfer from Louisiana Tech.

Breanna Wright has now scored 1,113 points in her career, moving into the 1,000-point club late last season.
- Fellow senior
Dominique Golightly is just 66 points away from joining her teammate in the 1,000-point club. Golightly is tied for the team-lead in rebounds (10) with
Lexi Kirgan and
Alyssa Adams.
- Junior
Josie Larson is lighting it up to start the year; the San Antonio native scored 16 in the opener and backed it up with nine against Southest. Larson is 3-of-5 from the three-point line to start the season.
SCOUTING WRIGHT STATE
- The Raiders have produced the Horizon League Player of the Year four times in the last five seasons, and after a 27-7 campaign a season ago, they look to continue their success.
- WSU checks in at No. 16 in the latest Mid Major Poll rankings.
- Wright State has played only an exhibition game so far; Friday marks the official season opener for the season.
- Three players on the current roster — Emily Vogelpohl, Mackenzie Taylor, and Symone
Simmons — could all join the 1,000-point club this winter.
