BEAUMONT – The ACU women's tennis team saw its season come to an end Friday morning with a 4-3 loss to Northwestern State in the first round of the Southland Conference Postseason Tournament at the Beaumont Tennis Center.
The Wildcats finish their season at 13-9, while the Demons move into Saturday's semifinals against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Wildcats defeated the Demons in the doubles competition before falling in the singles.

Autumn Crossnoe defeats Emilija Dancetovic and Ela Iwaniuk, 6-4.
With the match tied 3-3 after the Demons won three of the first five singles matches to be completed, the match came down to the No. 5 spot where Crossnoe was taking on Castillo. Crossnoe won the first set, 6-1, before dropping the next two sets and the match, 6-3, 6-4.
In singles competition
Lucile Pothier and Sarah Adams both recorded victories. Pothier defeated Polina Mutel, 6-1 and 6-2 in two sets and Adams downed Emilija Dancetovic in town sets with scores of 6-3, 6-0.
