Breanna Wright recorded two of the best offensive games of her career the week of Jan. 29 at Lamar (Jan. 31) and Sam Houston State (Feb. 3) … She averaged 29.0 points per game on 15-of-24 (.625) 3-point shooting and hit 9-of-10 free throws to remain the Southland Conference leader with an .885 percentage.
Wright's eight 3-pointers at Lamar tied the Southland's season record and her 70.0 percent (7-10) 3-point shooting against Sam Houston is the best performance during ACU's D1 era.
Wright played all 80 minutes of last week's road trip and now ranks third in the league with 35.8 mpg … She has not played fewer than 30 minutes in a single game since registering 26 on Dec. 3 vs. Florida Gulf Coast ... Wright has eight complete games this season and 12 in her two-year career.
Wright's 31 points at Sam Houston State were a single-game career high and marked the second 30+ point game of her career ... She had 30 on Dec. 16 vs. Midwestern State.
ACU once again swept its season series against Sam Houston State after coming from behind late in the fourth quarter to stun the Bearkats, 75-72 ... The Wildcats trailed by as many as 13 points with 5:25 left in the third quarter but the outscored Sam Houston 24-16 in the fourth quarter ... Wright scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, including the last seven of the game ... Her 3-pointer with 45 seconds left gave ACU its first lead since the 2:15 mark of the second quarter ...
