Graham makes Academic All-Conference team for third consecutive year

ABILENE – Abilene Christian junior nursing major and cross country runner Carnley Graham Wednesday was voted onto the Academic All-Southland Conference Second Team in recognition of her work on-and-off the competition field. The Prosper, Texas native has made this team for three consecutive seasons (2016, 2017, 2018) and is the team's 15th overall honoree since the school rejoined the Southland Conference in 2013.

Graham was joined on the second team by Incarnate Word's Danielle Martinez, Stephen F. Austin's Kelsey Ramirez, Lamar's Katy Whiteoak and McNeese's Alex Eykelbosch. The first team was composed of WXC Student-Athlete of the Year Allyson Girard, Lamar's Katie Buckley, McNeese's Gladys Jerotich and SFA's Taryn Surratt and Clarie Crone.

Graham this fall led the Wildcats to the finish line at all six races, including the Southland Conference Championships (6th, 23:16.0) and NCAA South Central Regionals (40th, 22:02.7). She also won the season-opening ACU Naimadu Classic (22:29.2) and UIW Invitational (22:01) in claiming two Southland Conference Athlete of the Week citations. Graham additionally placed fourth at Texas Tech (18:24.6) and sixth at Texas A&M (22:05).
