COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Abilene Christian cross country's 2018 season reached its conclusion Friday morning at the NCAA D1 South Central Regional hosted by Texas A&M's Dale Watts course.
The Wildcats sent three men and women to compete and junior
Carnley Graham posted the best finish of the group, placing 40th with a 6K time of 22:02.7. Sophomore
Hannah Marut was 98th (23:20.1) and sophomore
Briahna Gerlach finished 116th of 154 runners (23:56.0).
The men's team was represented by freshman
Levi Chambers (134th, 35:57.1), senior
Travis Nichols (136th, 36:08.7) and junior
Drew Cummings (154th, 37:40.9) in a 10K race that was won by Lamar senior Jamie Crowe (31:36.6).
The women's 6K was captured by Arkansas freshman Katrina Robinson (20:20.3) as the Razorbacks won each of the team titles. The Arkansas women claimed the first through fourth positions in addition to 11th place in scoring 21 points, while the men had their top-five runners place among the top-16 competitors for 59 points.
Texas was the runner-up on each side as its women totaled 99 points and its men 76 points.
