ABILENE – Abilene Christian volleyball brings its 3-0 Southland Conference record to Huntsville, Texas Saturday where they'll battle Sam Houston State at 1 p.m. at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.

The all-time series between the two sides is tied at 3-3 following last year's split in which the Wildcats followed a 3-1 loss at home with a 3-0 victory in Huntsville.
ACU is 6-9 overall after coming back from an 0-2 deficit to win at Incarnate Word last Saturday. The Wildcats were led by senior outside hitter
Jacey Smith, who registered a single-match high 25 kills en route to crossing 1,000 kills in her career. Senior setter
Kendall Bosse also tied a single-match high with 55 assists.
Smith currently ranks second and third, respectively, within the Southland Conference with 611 total attacks and 9.7 attacks per set, while Bosse is first in both assists with 611 and assists per set with 9.7.
The Bearkats also have been idle much of this week with their last match taking place last Thursday at UIW, falling 3-0 for their first conference defeat of the season. They began their Southland slate with wins over McNeese and Lamar.
Sam Houston is the conference's leader in three categories: digs per set (17.5), opponent hitting percentage (.151) and team attacks per set (35.61), and its senior middle blocker Taylor Cunningham is tops with 3.6 kills and 4.35 points per set.
