ABILENE -- ACU hosts Southeastern Louisiana Saturday as the Wildcats look for a third straight win in Southland Conference play after opening the league with a three-point loss last week at New Orleans.

The Lions are 2-0 in the league, one-half game behind league-leading New Orleans, which has begun defense of its Southland Conference regular-season title at 3-0. The Lions are the league's only other undefeated team in conference play.

The Lions began league play on Dec. 28 with a 73-62 win over Stephen F. Austin in Hammond, La., and then went to Conway, Ark., on Dec. 31 and picked up an impressive 73-69 road win over Central Arkansas, which features the league's leading scorer in senior guard Jordan Howard.

The Wildcats won their 10th game of the season Wednesday night by rallying from a 13-point second-half deficit to beat McNeese, 79-74, at Moody Coliseum. ACU trailed by 12 at halftime before coming back to win its second straight conference game.

After Saturday's game, the Wildcats will be back on the road for a pair of Southland Conference games at Houston Baptist (Wednesday, Jan. 10) and Northwestern State (Saturday, Jan. 13) before returning to host SFA on Wednesday, Jan. 17, in a game that will be broadcast on the Versus Network.
