Glanton leads ACU at Mobile Sports Authority tournament

MOBILE, Ala. – ACU sophomore golfer Garrett Glanton was his team's top finisher Tuesday at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate.
Blanton fired rounds of 71-74-77 to finish at 6-over-par 277, 12 strokes off the pace set by tournament individual champion Wes Gosselin of Chattanooga, who fired a 6-under-par 210 (66-75-69). Gosselin tied Alexander Hermann of Georgia State for the individual win, but Gosselin won the individual title in a scorecard playoff.
Louisville won the team title in the 15-team field with a score of 8-under-par 856 with rounds of 284-283-289 for a 54-hole total of 856. The hosts from South Alabama were second at 5-under-par 859 with rounds of 278-287-294.
ACU was 15th in the tournament at 57-over-par 921 with rounds of 303-298-320.
The Wildcats will be back in action next weekend at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational, which will be played Feb. 27-28 at the Tradition Course at Cypresswood Golf Club in Spring, Texas.
