ABILENE – Abilene Christian women's basketball Sunday plays host to Southeastern Louisiana for a 3:30 p.m. game on ESPN3. The 21-3 Wildcats are 10-0 at home this season and remain atop the Southland Conference standings at 12-1.

The Wildcats haven't welcomed an ESPN3 audience into Moody Coliseum since January of 2014 when they beat Sam Houston State, 73-67. ACU is 1-1 this season on ESPN3 and 4-1 all-time since becoming part of the Southland Conference. The Wildcats beat Stephen F. Austin on the road 85-70 last January, but earlier this month had their 14-game winning streak snapped at Lamar, 63-54.

ACU improved to 4-1 all-time vs. the Lady Lions following its win in Hammond, La., on Feb. 6.  Lizzy and Suzzy each recorded a double-double to lead the Wildcats and all five starters reached double figures in scoring. Lizzy had 23 points to go with 11 rebounds, while Suzzy had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Guards Alexis Mason and Whitney West Swinford had 19 and 17 points, respectively, while forward Sydney Shelstead chipped in a dozen.

A win Sunday over Southeastern (4-19, 3-9 Southland) would give the Wildcats their second Southland Conference sweep of the season. Their first of the year came against Sam Houston State, which ACU defeated at home on Feb. 10, 67-55, and on the road, 87-76, on Jan. 21.

In their last home win on Feb. 10 – the 500th women's game played at ACU – the Wildcats limited the Bearkats' to 32.7 percent shooting and the Southland's leading scorer – Shernise Robertson – to only eight points on 2-17 shooting (0-9 from 3-point range). Alexis Mason led the Wildcats with 17 points in becoming the first Wildcat since Renata Marquez in 2014 to score 400 points in a single season, while Suzzy and Lizzy Dimba combined for 27 points and 12 rebounds.

ACU is now 10-6 all-time vs. Sam Houston State and 4-1 against the Bearkats since joining the Southland Conference.

Earlier this week ACU evened its all-time series record to 2-2 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi following a Feb. 17 road win at the Dugan Wellness Center, 71-65.

Four starters, led by Suzzy Dimba's career-high 25 points, were responsible for all 71 points. Dimba tied two additional career bests with nine field goals and four 3-pointers as the Wildcats shot .526 (10-19) from beyond the arc. ACU's last 50-percent game from downtown took place Dec. 3, 2013 vs. Texas A&M-Commerce (.588, 10-17).

Alexis Mason scored 19 on 7-12 shooting and had a career high four steals and Whitney West Swinford hit 3-5 3-pointers to finish with 11 points. Sydney Shelstead played the second complete-game of her career with a 16-point / 11-rebound double-double.

The Wildcats' victory vs. the Islanders was their 21st of the season, giving the program its second 21-win season in four years under head coach Julie Goodenough.

ACUSports.com learned this month that Sue Williamson, mother of freshman guard Sara Williamson, is battling breast cancer. In response ACU women's basketball has set up a GoFundMe.com page (gofundme.com/acu4sue) on her behalf to raise $10,000 by the end of the month. All proceeds will go directly to the Williamson's medical expenses.

Sue Williamson was honored during ACU's annual Play4Kay game on Feb. 10 vs. Sam Houston State.
