ABILENE – Stephen F. Austin visits Shotwell Stadium for the first time since 1984 Saturday when the ACU Wildcats host the Lumberjacks in a Southland Conference contest.

Kickoff is set for 11:04 a.m., and the game can be heard locally on 98.1 FM The Ticket. The game will be broadcast to a national television audience on the American   Sports Network and will be seen in 16 states across 31 different affiliates, including KIDY-TV in Abilene. David Saltzman (play by play), N.D. Kalu (analyst) and Chris Mycoskie (sideline) will describe the action between these old Southland Conference rivals.

KIDZ-MyTV (channel 116 on Suddenlink) will broadcast the game in Abilene. A full list of ASN affiliates is available at southland.org/ASN as the game will also be streamed live at southland.org/Watch and on the Southland Conference app. ACU will not offer a live streaming option this week.

The Wildcats are 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Southland Conference after last Saturday's 49-21 win over Houston Baptist. The Lumberjacks fell to 0-3 overall and 0-1 after last Saturday's 28-14 Southland Conference loss to McNeese State.

The last time SFA played a football game in Abilene was Sept. 29, 1984, when the Lumberjacks and Wildcats were both members of the Lone Star Conference. SFA won the game, 37-21. ACU, however, leads the all-time series, 9-6, including last year's 37-35 Wildcat win in the season-finale in Nacogdoches.

Saturday's game is also the third P4X Foundation Classic highlighting Childhood Cancer Awareness Day. The foundation was established following the passing of Rex Fleming, son of ACU associate director of athletics for media relations Lance Fleming and his wife, Jill. Rex passed away in November 2012 after a two-year battle against brain cancer.

Since the foundation was created in January 2013, it has raised more than $100,000 and has given away a large portion of those dollars. The foundation has provided at least 40 iPod Touches / iPad Minis and Apple iTunes gift cards to pediatric cancer patients at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, as well as Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

The foundation has also made donations of $25,000 (Hendrick Hospice) and $20,000 (West Texas Rehabilitation Center). Both SFA and ACU will be wearing helmet stickers in recognition of the event and Saturday's winning team will be presented with a trophy. Members of the ACU men's basketball team will be at the exits in the fourth quarter to collect donations for the P4X Foundation as fans are leaving.
