SAN ANTONIO – The ACU Wildcats are in south Texas this weekend for the final two games of the season, hoping to carry the momentum from Tuesday night's home win into games at Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Wildcats dominated Houston Baptist in an 83-71 win Tuesday night at Moody Coliseum, snapping a 12-game losing streak and posting their 10th win of the season. ACU is now 10-19 overall and 4-12 in conference play heading into games at Incarnate Word (Thursday night) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Saturday).

ACU will take on Incarnate Word at 8 p.m. Thursday night at the McDermott Center on the UIW campus before heading to the Gulf Coast to take on Corpus Christi at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the American Bank Center.

The Wildcats never trailed in Tuesday's win over the Huskies and were led by senior guard LaDarrien Williams and junior guard Parker Wentz, who had 19 points apiece, while senior Harrison Hawkins had 18 points off the bench.

Hawkins leads the Wildcats in scoring at 12.9 ppg, while Wentz is averaging 12.1 ppg and Williams is averaging 10.1 ppg. With Wentz's 19 points against Houston Baptist, the junior from Lubbock has now scored 1,000 points in his ACU career.  He's fifth on ACU's all-time list for 3-pointers made in a career (189), sixth in attempts (445) and first in 3-point field goal percentage (42.5 percent).

Incarnate Word is 17-9 overall and 9-7 in Southland Conference play and is led by senior Denzel Livingston, one of the leading scorers in the nation at 22.3 ppg. Livingston needs five assists to reach the following career milestones of 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, 200 steals and 100 blocks.  He is the third all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,671 points and owns school records for single season and career free throws made.

Corpus Christi enters Thursday night's home game against Houston Baptist at 16-12 overall and 11-5 in league play. The Islanders have been very strong on the defensive end in the last five games. They are allowing just 58.6 points and opponents are shooting 37.5 percent from the field and 28.6 percent beyond the arc. No team has hit better than 33.3 percent from downtown, and four of the five teams have failed to reach 40 percent overall.
