The game is set for a 7 p.m. tipoff and can be heard locally on 98.1 FM The Ticket and online at the98x.com. The game can also be seen on Houston Baptist's Web site (http://www.hbuhuskies.com). The Wildcats are 9-12 overall and 3-5 in Southland Conference play, while the Huskies enter the game at 9-9 and 4-4.
After knocking off Northwestern State, 95-81, on Jan. 13, the Wildcats have lost five straight Southland games, including Saturday afternoon's 84-74 loss at Lamar. ACU has allowed an average of 77.4 points per game in those five losses and has averaged just 61.6 ppg.
Senior guard
Harrison Hawkins now leads the Wildcats in scoring at 14.5 ppg after posting a career-best 33 points Saturday against Lamar. He had 20 points in the first half and 13 in the second half of the contest. Junior guard
Parker Wentz – who has scored just 27 points combined in the Wildcats' five-game skid – is second on the team, averaging 12.2 ppg, while senior guard
LaDarrien Williams is averaging 10.7 ppg.
Junior guard Anthony Odunsi with 11.7 points and 2.6 assists per game, while sophomore forward Colter Lasher averages 11.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Freshman center Josh Ibarra leads the team and ranks 14th among Division I freshmen with 6.7 rebounds per game and fourth among freshmen with 2.3 blocks per game.
