DES MOINES, Iowa – The ACU Wildcats return to the floor Tuesday night for their final game before the Christmas break in a non-conference game against the Drake Bulldogs.
Tipoff between the Wildcats and Bulldogs is set for 7 p.m. from the Knapp Arena on the Drake campus. The game can be seen on espn3.com and can be heard on 98.1 FM The Ticket.
The Wildcats are 4-7 on the season after Sunday afternoon's 80-69 loss at TCU in the first game in the newly renovated Schollmaier Arena (formerly the Daniel Meyer Coliseum) on the TCU campus. Drake enters Tuesday night's with an identical 4-7 record and losers of four straight games, including Saturday's 70-64 home loss to in-state rival Iowa.
Freshman guard
Jaylen Franklin – who will likely start at point guard again in place of injured starter
Jalen Little – continues to lead the Wildcats in scoring at 13.3 points per game. He's shooting 51.9 percent from the floor (55 of 106) and is averaging 3.5 rebounds per game to go along with a little more than one assist per game. He's gotten to the free throw line a team-high 59 times, although he's hit just 61 percent of his free throws (36 of 59).
Junior transfer
Jovan Crnic isthe only other Wildcat averaging in double figures on the season (10.1 ppg). He's shooting 77.8 percent form the free throw line (21 of 27) and is handing out almost three assists per game. Senior guard
Parker Wentz – averaging 9.4 ppg – is among the nation's leaders in 3-point field goal percentage (49.1) and enters Tuesday night's game 27 of 55 on the season from beyond the arc.
