ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's tennis will play its first home matches of the spring season Saturday when the Wildcats play host to Prairie View A&M and Trinity during the second day of the ACU Indoor Invitational at the Teague Events Center.
The Wildcats will first battle the Panthers at 9 a.m. followed by the the Tigers at 3 p.m.
ACU was off from competition last week after turning in a solid effort the previous weekend at the Indiana University Winter Invitational where the Wildcats won close to half their singles matches (8-9, .471) and 11 of 19 doubles contests (.579) vs. the Hoosiers, Oregon Ducks, and Marquette Golden Eagles.

Kaysie Hermsdorf had the best weekend of any Wildcat - in addition to anyone else in the conference - as she earned her first Southland Player of the Week citation on Jan. 20 after going 2-0 in singles and 5-0 in doubles alongside
Brittney Reed.
Hermsdorf won her singles decisions against Indiana senior Shannon Murdy, 5-6, 7-6, 10-8, and Marquette's all-BIG EAST honoree Erin Gebes, 6-4, 6-4. And in doubles, she and Reed collected one victory vs. Oregon and two wins vs. duos from Marquette and 51st-ranked Indiana.

Nada Marjanovic and freshman
Lucile Pothier matched Hermsdorf's 2-0 singles mark in Bloomington.
Marjanovic defeated IU's Paula Gutierrez, 5-7, 7-6, 10-6, and doubled up Marquette's Paula Tormos Sanchez, 6-3, 6-3.
Pothier, meanwhile, won three of five doubles matches with classmate
Carli Knezevich, and in singles she conquered Indiana's Kim Schmider and Marquette's Diana Tokar in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-4.
