ABILENE - Angelo State hit .460 and had four players score in double figures during its 3-0 win at Abilene Christian Saturday afternoon at Moody Coliseum. The 11-2 Rambelles remain undefeated in Lone Star Conference play at 4-0, while the Wildcats slipped to 4-8 overall and 1-3 vs. the league.
Angelo State won by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-17.
The Rambelles' attack was powered by Shelbi Goode, who led all players with 14 kills and 16.5 points. Kaelen Valdez provided nine kills and Chelsea Gibson had 10. Angelo State also blocked 10 shots led by Maddie Huth's three solo efforts and one assist.
ACU senior
Kalynne Allen led her squad with seven kills and tied with freshman Jennie Loerch for the most points with 8.0. Loerch was credited with six kills and racked up two solo blocks.
