SAN ANGELO – ACU returns to the diamond for an important three game Lone Star Conference series with No. 8 Angelo State at the ASU Softball Complex as the Wildcats continue to make a push for LSC Tournament next month.

LAST TIME OUT
ACU took two of three from Texas A&M-Kingsville to hold on the a third place tie with West Texas A&M. The Wildcats have been propelled by Brittany Rexroat who was named LSC pitcher of the week after going 3-0 with two wins over the Javelinas and a win on Monday against in-region opponent St. Edward's. ACU has won three in a row and three of their last five with Lyndi Smith and Ashley Calles providing an offensive punch. Smith has 7 hits in her last five games with 5 RBIs and 2 home runs while Calles has 6 hits and 8 RBIs. Missy Mendoza has also continued to chase the single season hits record at ACU with 74 hits on the season she is just 12 hits shy.
THE OPPONENTS
ANGELO STATE: The Rambelles have struggled since being ranked No. 1 in the nation in late March losing two of three to West Texas A&M last weekend. ASU is led by Kaycee Taylor who is hitting .376 and a slugging percentage of .470 at the plate. Clarissa Molina leads the Rambells with a 2.15 ERA and is 18-4 in the circle. Molina also has 110 strikeouts in over 100 innings pitched and has four saves on the season.
