ABILENE – The cold-shooting ACU Wildcats shot just 34.2 percent from the floor Tuesday night as they dropped their fourth straight game with a 77-64 loss to Incarnate Word in a Lone Star Conference South Division game at McMurry's Kimbrell Arena.
Tuesday night's game was played at McMurry because ACU's annual "Sing Song" production has taken over Moody Coliseum. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 9-14 overall and 1-10 in the LSC South Division, while the Cardinals improve to 16-6 and 5-5.
The Wildcats were able to hit just 25 of 73 shots from the floor, including just 4 of 16 from 3-point range. ACU committed 23 turnovers and had just five assists.
ACU never led in the game as the Cardinals hit 30 of 60 shots from the floor (50 percent), including 3 of 6 from 3-point range. Tracy Robinson led all scorers with 25 points, while Chris Johnson had 14 and Eric Stewart and Deleon Hines added 10 apiece.
Giordan Cole led the Wildcats with 13 points, while
Alex Richman had 11 and
Preston Davis scored 10 for the Wildcats.
