Follow Tournament Central

ABILENE – For the fifth consecutive year the ACU volleyball team will travel to Canyon for the Lone Star Conference Tournament in search of their first Conference Championship in six years and first under head coach Kellen Mock.
The Wildcats closed out the Lone Star Conference with a 13-1 record as their only blemish came last week in a loss to defending Champion West Texas A&M. For the third time under Mock ACU finished with 20 plus wins at 25-4.
ACU will open the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face Texas Woman's on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at The Box in Canyon.
WT enters the tournament again as the No. 1 seed and will face Incarnate Word in the night cap at 7:30 p.m. In other first round action No. 3 seed Angelo State will play Central Oklahoma while Midwestern State enters as the No. 4 seed and is pitted against No. 5 Tarleton State.
A win for the Wildcats would advance ACU to Friday night's first contest at 5 p.m. against the Angelo State/Central Oklahoma winner.
The Championship match is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday night at The Box.
All the championship games will be aired live viainternet video streaming here. The webcasts are available free of charge. Each webcast includes both video and audio, with viewers needing only a computer with a high-speed DSL or cable modem connection to the internet. Veteran broadcaster Chris Needham has the call for all the games.
