ACU women 29th in Missouri

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The ACU women's cross country team's 2009 struggles continued Saturday as the Wildcats finished 29th at the Missouri Southern Stampede at the MSSU Cross Country Course.
The Wildcats finished with 824 points to finish 29th. Arkansas won the event with 23 points as the Lady Razorbacks went 1-2-4-7-9 in the individual standings.
ACU's best finisher was Chloe Susset, who was 59th, covering the 5-kilometer course in 19 minutes, 12.13 seconds.
ACU's other finishers were Shayla Herndon (126th, 20:29.37), Kelsi Williamson (148th, 20:47.21), Lindsey Putman (242nd, 23:22.76), and Caitlin Hanisco (249th, 24:07.02).
On the men's side, freshman Will Pike was the only Wildcat to compete, and he finished 177th, covering the 8000-meter course in 26:57.16.
