ABILENE -- The ACU athletics department announced Sunday evening that it will be sponsoring two buses for fans to travel to Canyon on Saturday to watch the Lone Star Conference showdown between the unbeaten and third-ranked Wildcats and fourth-ranked and unbeaten Buffaloes of West Texas A&M.
The cost of the buses is being covered by ACU athletics meaning the only cost to those fans who want to ride the bus will be the cost of a ticket to the game and any meals or snacks on the trip. Ticket prices for the game are $12 for adults and $5 for students with a valid identification card. ACU students can stop The Bean and use their meal plans or Bean Bucks to pick up a box lunch to take on the trip.
The buses will leave the Teague Special Events Center parking lot at 11:15 a.m. Saturday and will return to Abilene immediately following the game. The buses will stop in Lubbock for a short break both on the trip to Canyon and on the return trip to Abilene.
To reserve a spot on the trip, fans must email ACU assistant director of athletics Nate Davis at
nate.davis@acu.edu. Fans may only sign up for themselves and immediate family members.
