Meagan Brown returns for her senior year and is expected to be a force in the middle of the Wildcats’ lineup. Has been a starter for the previous three years and coach Hutton Jones calls her the unsung hero of the team.  Fall (2007): Won the LSC Championship at the No. 2 singles spot. Also teamed up with Jaclyn Walker to win the No. 2 doubles title.  Paired up with Sarah Drummond to make the doubles final at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Central Region tournament. Drummond and Brown were knocked out by the ACU duo of Irene Squillaci and Aina Rafolo.  Junior (2006-07): Was a first team all-conference selection in doubles and a second team all-LSC selection in singles. Brown also made the LSC all-academic team. Finished with a combined singles record of 19-4, including a 6-1 record in LSC matches. Was 1-0 at the No. 2 spot, 7-1 at the No. 3 spot, 11-2 at No. 4, and 0-1 at No. 5. Tallied a combined 28-4 doubles record. Paired up with Sarah Drummond the most times and had a 7-2 record with her.  Also finished with a 7-0 record with Aina Rafolo.  Sophomore (2005-06):_Brown finished with a 20-8 overall record, primarily playing in the No. 2 spot for ACU, where she was 10-5. Brown was a consistent player in Lone Star Conference play, losing just one match in the conference as she finished 6-1 on the year. She also was a dominant doubles player as she finished 26-9 on the year. She teamed up with Irene Squallaci, going 14-7. In the fall of her freshman campaign at the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament, Brown won the No. 2 singles title, and teamed with Holly Lindloff to win the LSC championship at No. 1 doubles.  Freshman (2004-05):_Brown won the No. 6 singles championship at the LSC tournament. She went on to be one of the Wildcats’ most consistent performers in the spring, posting a 24-6 record in singles play and a 22-6 record in doubles play with five different partners.  High school:_Brown was a four-year letterwinner and three-time qualifier for the state tournament in singles. As a senior she finished third at the state tournament after fourth-place finishes as both a sophomore and junior. She was the district singles champion as a sophomore, junior and senior.
