Former Abilene High School forward Tori (Hale) Cole enters her fifth year in 2019 as an assistant coach for the Abilene Christian soccer team. She was named to her current position in August 2015.
 
Cole came to ACU following a decorated three-year career at Texas State. She contributed 14 points in 2014 on five goals (game-winners vs. A&M-Corpus Christi and Northwestern State) and four assists, helping the Bobcats post an overall record of 11-7-2 and reach the semifinals of the Sun Belt Championships. The year previous she made Second Team All-SBC after providing nine assists, and as a sophomore in 2012 she scored 16 points behind five goals and six assists.
 
Cole graduated from Texas State’s Honors Program Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 2015 with degrees in English and psychology. She made Dean’s List each semester and twice was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District Team (2013, 2014). Hale also received the Oak Farms Cream of the Crop 4.0 Award on three occasions, and in 2014 she was tabbed Most Outstanding Student for the Texas State Honor College.
 
Cole additionally was a leader within the Fellowship of Christian Athletes during her time in San Marcos and served as its president during the 2014-15 school year.
 
Cole played at TCU during her freshman season of 2011. She started 12 matches at forward for the Horned Frogs, contributing one goal and two assists.
 
During her four years at Abilene High School, Hale was an AP Scholar, team captain and two-time offensive most valuable player for head coach Brent Camp. She also was named First Team All-District at the end of each season and twice voted District 3-5A MVP at the forward position (2010, 2011).
 
Cole’s older brothers Tyler and Chris both played collegiate baseball. Chris pitched for the ACU Wildcats in 2007, while Tyler was part of the Arizona Wildcats’ 2012 College World Series Championship team.

She and her husband, Kade, were married in December 2017, and have a daughter, Louisa.
