Sam Woodley

Woodley joins the Wildcats staff in the summer of 2020 after playing four seasons with the Warriors at Corban University. She played under coach Farler at Corban for her first three years and over her career the team compiled a 135-49 record. She was part of the 2017 team that finished as National Runner-up in the NAIA World Series under Farler.

In her time with the Wildcats, Sam has been an integral part of telling the team's story creating video content for their social media. She has been a part of a staff that has increased their win total in each season and have made a conference tournament appearance in each of the last two seasons.

During her four years with the Warriors, she played, and started, in almost every game. As a freshman she earned second team All-CCC honors and added a Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honor as a sophomore. As a junior, she started in all 53 games for Corban and earned a first team All-CCC selection. In addition to the conference honors, Woodley was named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District team as well as earning an NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete designation. The CoSIDA award requires a 3.3 GPA while the NAIA award is earned only by students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher. She also earned Academic All-CCC honors in each of the three season she was eligible.

Her career highlights include a .991 fielding percentage, a .370 batting average, a .567 slugging percentage, a .416 on-bas percentage, and a .618 stolen bases against percentage. In her shortened senior season, Woodley was on her way to career highs in almost every category. She made her mark in the record books as well. She is Corban’s all-time leader in doubles with 52 for her career. She ranks third for career at-bats (559), total hits (207), and RBI (137), and is seventh all-time in batting average at .370.
