Lyndi Felan

Lyndi Felan is in her fifth season as an assistant coach for Abilene Christian softball in 2019 following a stellar four-year career with the Wildcats. She was named to her current position by head coach Bobby Reeves in the summer of 2017 after spending three seasons as a volunteer assistant coach.

A native of Uvalde, Texas, Smith enjoyed one her finest seasons as a first-year NCAA DI student-athlete in the spring of 2014, hitting .344 with a career-season high 13 home runs and a Southland Conference best 50 RBI. She also finished the regular season tied for sixth in the league with 36 runs, second with 103 total bases, and fourth with a .656 slugging percentage.

Felan finished with a career batting average of .342, plus 143 RBI and 37 home runs - one shy of tying Katie Bryan's varsity record of 38.

Felan made second team All-Lone Star Conference following her junior year of 2013 and was a third team selection in 2012. She hit .309 with seven home runs and 23 RBI during her freshman season with ACU.

Felan graduated with honors in 2010 from Uvalde High School where she lettered in softball, volleyball, track and cheerleading.
 
She and her husband, Kyle married in August of 2015. Kyle is the Director of Basketball Analytics and Assistant Coach for ACU’s women’s basketball team.Â
