Biography

Will make the transition to the outfield after playing most of last season at second base. Crouse enters her senior season after a solid junior campaign.  2006 (Junior):  Crouse made the switch from pitcher to second base with ease.  She proved to be a solid defender as she finished with only seven errors on the year and a .956 fielding percentage.  She also displayed an excellent bat at the plate. Crouse led the team and set a school single-season record with 201 at-bats.  She made the most of them as she batted .353 for the year. Crouse also led the team in hits (71) and runs scored (47).  Crouse even showed some pop in her bat as she finished with 14 doubles and three home runs.  Crouse played in all 61 games for ACU and started 59 of them.  She was voted to the Lone Star Conference South Division Commissioner's Honor Roll. 2005 (Sophomore):  Crouse finished 8-8 with a 5.13 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 100 innings of work.  Her best game of the season might have been an April 15 win over Angelo State when she went the distance against the Rambelles in a 10-6 win over the defending NCAA national champions.  In that game, Crouse held the Rambelles to nine hits and just one walk over seven innings.  2004 (Freshman):  As a freshman, she led the team in wins (7), ERA (4.11), innings pitched (118.3) and strikeouts (37).  She also hit .287 with 12 RBI and 14 runs scored in 129 at-bats.  High school:  Had an outstanding career at Fort Worth Christian HS where she was one of the top pitchers in the Metroplex as a senior.  In four years, Crouse was 100-23 on the mound with 1,243 strikeouts and a combined ERA of 0.31.  She threw 37 no-hitters and 70 shutouts.  She was just as good at the plate, hitting a combined .487 with 106 RBI in four seasons. She threw 11 no-hitters as a freshman in 2000 and followed that with 13 more as a sophomore, 10 as a junior and three as a senior.  She was a four-time first team TAPPS all-state selection, and led her team to three state tournament appearances and one title (2001).  She was a two-time member of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram all-Northeast Tarrant County Team (2000 and 2001), and she was the newspaper's choice as the Private School MVP in 2000, 2001 and 2002.  Personal:  Born 19 October 1984.  2003 graduate of Fort Worth Christian High School.
