High school: Two-year letterwinner at Lake Travis where he was teammates with current ACU teammate Shawn Lawson. As a senior defensive end, Williams was a first team all-district selection and was named academic all-state. As a junior he was honorable mention all-district at nose guard, and he was named the team's Most Improved Player.
