Listed as the backup at tight end going into the 2006 season. 2005 (Junior): Started at tight end for most of the season after transferring to ACU from Stephen F. Austin State. Had his only touchdown catch of the season on Oct. 1 against Southeastern Oklahoma State. Stephen F. Austin State: Spent the 2001 season as a redshirt before appearing in four games as a reserve tight end and on special teams in 2002. He caught one pass for four yards in a 52-6 win over Southern Utah on Oct. 5, 2002. He was moved to the offensive line in 2003 and then decided to transfer. High school: Two-sport letterwinner at San Benito HS where he played for his father, Carlous Stone, the former head football coach at Abilene High School. Stone recorded 47 catches for 888 yards and six touchdowns in his high school career. He was all-Bay Area and a CBS Sportsline all-South region team member as a senior.
