Biography


2011 (Sophomore): Started at guard in all 11 games for the Wildcats, helping pave the way for one of the top offensive units in NCAA Division II football.  Earned second team all-Lone Star Conference honors for his play.

2010 (Freshman): Offensive lineman with action in 9 games (8 starts) for Wildcat team that won LSC title, reached NCAA Division II playoffs and recorded first 11-0 season in team history.

2009 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school:  Perez enjoyed an outstanding senior season, leading Rio Hondo to a 10-3 record and earning first team all-district and all-Rio Grande Valley honors.  He was also a second team Class 3A all-state selection by the Associated Press and was a second team all-state selection by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.  Perez did not allow a sack his senior season and helped Rio Hondo reach the area round of the state playoffs for the first time in school history.  Played for head coach Rocky James. 

Personal:  Born 13 July 1991.  2009 graduate of Rio Hondo High School in Rio Hondo, Texas.
