Biography


2010 (Freshman):  Started all 11 games for the Wildcats, moving from right tackle after the season's first three games to left guard for the final eight games of the season.  Helped the Wildcats average 508.0 yards and 37.3 points per game.  Was voted honorable mention all-Lone Star Conference at season's end.

2010 (Freshman):  Reserve offensive lineman with action in 6 games (0 starts).

2009 (Freshman): Redshirt.
High school:  As a senior in 2008, Spears graded out at better than 90 percent for the season.  Did not allow a sack as he was voted honorable mention Associated Press Class 4A all-state.  Voted first team all-District 4-4A.  Spears recorded 46 knockdowns and 24 “pancake” blocks.  Spears was named to Abilene Reporter-News all-Big Country super team and Reporter-News Class 4A-5A all-Big Country team.  Played for head coach Mike Spradlin.
