Biography

Will battle for the starting job at first base in 2007 after playing the position in 35 games last year.  He could also see time as the Wildcats' designated hitter in 2007.  2006 (Junior):  Hit .338 with four home runs and 42 RBI on his way to second team all-Lone Star Conference South Division honors.  Finished fourth on the team with 70 hits and third on the club with 42 RBI.  Williams had two four-hit games last season (March 10 vs. Southeastern Oklahoma State and May 9 vs. Central Oklahoma).  He also had seven three-RBI games last season, including against Central Oklahoma on May 9 in the Wildcats' 12-6 win over the Bronchos in the championship round of the LSC Post-Season Tournament.  2004-05 (Texarkana College):  As a sophomore in 2005, Williams hit .397 with 72 RBI in 63 games to lead the Bulldogs of Texarkana College to a 50-13 record and a spot in the NJCAA Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.  He was 5 for
11 with four runs scored in the Bulldogs' three games in the tournament. Earned first team all-conference honors as a sophomore. High school:  As a high school player at
Hart High School in Newhall, Calif., he was an all-conference player as both a junior and senior.  Personal:  Born 05 February 1985.  2003 graduate of Hart High School.
