ACU Baseball Hosting Sacramento State for Walk Off for Cancer Weekend, New Game Time Friday

ABILENE - The Wildcats come home for the weekend to host another conference series against Sacramento State. ACU has not hosted the Hornets since 2023 and will be the third time overall facing Sacramento State.

ACU currently holds the series 4-2 overall and is able to secure both series despite the losses.

The last time that The Wildcats took on the Hornets, Brett Lanman and Cade McGarrh were able to shut out the Hornets 3-0. Lanman secured the win, going 7 innings, with McGarrh shutting the door, with giving up no hits.

The Wildcats had six hits on the game, with Maddox Miesse scoring two of the three runs, with a double and a sacrifice fly.

The weekend series' original start was at 6:05 p.m. CT on Friday. But, due to weather conditions, the new time for Friday's game will be 5:05 p.m. CT.

This weekend, ACU Baseball is recognizing the series as Walk Off for Cancer Weekend. To aid those who are currently going through the devastations of cancer, ACU Baseball will be selling T-shirts at the games this weekend. A portion of the proceeds of every T-shirt will be donated to Hendrick Health to help patients throughout the country.

Make sure to secure your tickets for this weekend at tickets.acusports.com.
