LUBBOCK, Texas - The Abilene Christian men's tennis team lost a nonconference match to Texas Tech, 4-0 on Tuesday night.
ACU is now 11-6 this spring season and will play at UTSA on Saturday at 12 p.m.
In the number one doubles position
Daniel Morozov and
Merse Deli led 5-3 over the Red Raiders, but the match went unfinished because Tech secured wins in the other two doubles matches.
In singles competition the Red Raiders started strong with a straight set win at the number six and three positions. At number five,
Martin Delnido rallied after losing the first set to tie his match 1-1. Delnido dropped the third set, 6-4.
With the team victory in hand, the remaining three singles matches were left unfinished. However, Morozov and Deli both were leading in their matches, and
Tomas Tischner pushed his opponent to a third set.
