Women's Basketball Come Home to Take on CBU

ABILENE – After a stretch of road games, the ACU Women's Basketball team is back in Moody Coliseum on Thursday, set to take on a familiar WAC foe in California Baptist. The Wildcats will enjoy a three-game homestand before returning to the road to face Seattle U.

Fans can follow the action on January 30 with live stats, or tune in on ESPN+ and The Patriot to catch the Wildcats in action.

ACU recently traveled to Riverside with a commanding 71-55 victory over the Lancers. Meredith Mayes led the charge with a career-high 24 points and nine rebounds, while Bella Earle posted a double-double. The Wildcats controlled the paint and forced 15 turnovers to secure the win.

The last time these two teams met in Abilene, ACU pulled off a thrilling 96-93 overtime victory in January 2024.

CBU enters the matchup at 6-14 overall and 3-3 in WAC play. The Lancers are coming off a heartbreaking 64-63 loss to Southern Utah, where the Thunderbirds sealed the win with a driving layup in the final 2.3 seconds.

The Wildcats have a brief break before heading back to the court, with their next matchup not being on Saturday, but Thursday, February 6, welcoming Utah Tech to Abilene.
