ABILENE - The ACU men's basketball team led California Baptist for 29 minutes on Saturday night, but could not hold up down the stretch as the Lancers rallied to win 60-54 at Moody Coliseum.
The Wildcats held CBU to 36% shooting in the first half and used a 9-0 run to take a 14-5 lead.
Quion Williams and Braydin Hubbard each hit a 3-pointer and a lay-up in the opening minutes.
However, ACU's offense dried up in the second half with 14 consecutive missed field goals.
Cade Hornecker converted an and-1 with 15:44 left. It took 10:09 of game time before
Dontrez Williams' 3-pointer ended the scoring drought.
