ABILENE — The ACU Wildcats showcased a dominant performance in Moody Coliseum, rolling past Seattle U 83-55 in their second WAC game. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 12-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
The night was made even more memorable as senior guard Bella Earle reached a career milestone, scoring over 1,000 career points. Earle, a cornerstone of the Wildcats' program for the past four years, became the eighth player in ACU's Division I era to achieve this remarkable feat.
Earle led the charge for the Wildcats, delivering an all-around stellar performance with 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including three three-pointers. She added seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals in an inspiring effort that paced the team's offensive and defensive dominance.
The Wildcats took control early, surging to a 21-12 lead in the first quarter and building their advantage to 40-25 by halftime. Their relentless pace and pressure were evident throughout the game, as they forced Seattle U into 31 turnovers, converting them into 31 points. ACU also dominated the paint, outscoring Seattle U 48-22 inside while holding their opponents to 39.6% shooting from the field.
Payton Hull, with 19 points, contributed significantly to the Wildcats' offensive firepower, while Emma Troxell added 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
The Wildcats' defense played a key role in the win, recording 15 steals and limiting Seattle U's scoring opportunities. ACU's depth and energy off the bench also proved valuable as they closed the game with a 30-point lead late in the fourth quarter.
ACU returns to Moody Coliseum on January 16 for their third WAC matchup of the season. The Wildcats will host Grand Canyon (2-0), the current WAC leader, who recently defeated ACU's first conference opponent, Utah Valley. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. CT, with live coverage available on ESPN+.
