The Wildcats are 15-10 on the season and 6-3 in the Western Athletic Conference after taking two of three at Sacramento State last weekend.
Utah Valley is 12-13 on the year and 4-2 in the league after sweeping NAIA Bushnell last week and surprising Brigham Young on Monday.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Abilene Christian's
Brett Lanman earned Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday. Lanman, a freshman southpaw from Fairview, threw seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing two hits and striking out seven in ACU's 3-0 win at Sacramento State. Lanman becomes the third ACU pitcher to earn the award this season, joining
Iain Campa (Feb. 19) and
Brett Garcia (March 11). It also is ACU's fourth weekly award of the season.
Gino D'Alessio won Player of the Week on March 18.
PRODUCTIVE OUTS: ACU is second in the NCAA with 21 sacrifice flies this season.

Garrett Williams are tied for 15th nationally with four each.
RBI GUY: Gino D'Alessio leads the WAC and is 77th in the NCAA with 29 RBIs this season. He has eight multi-RBI games this season, including four RBI against Northern Illinois and three against Tarleton State and UT Arlington.
WINS: There are four WAC pitchers with four wins this season and two of them are in the ACU starting rotation.

Brett Lanman leads the WAC with a 1.02 WHIP (walks and hits per inning). He also leads the league with 61 strikeouts and is second with 11.78 strikeouts per nine innings. His 2.01 earned run average? Also atop the WAC.
BORHO DAYS: Reese Borho leads the Wildcats and WAC with two triples this season. That's good enough for 61st in the NCAA.
LAST SERIES: The Cats went 2-1 at Sacramento State and have now won all three series this season by that margin. After giving up 11 runs in the series opener, ACU held Sacramento State to two runs over the next two games.
HISTORY WITH UTAH VALLEY: The teams last met in 2020 and ACU won all four of those games.
SCOUTING THE BLAZERS: Utah Valley has a five-game winning streak working, including wins over Brigham Young and Arizona State. They swept SFA in their last WAC series in Orem. The Trailblazers are batting .287 and are led by Jayden Smith, who carries a .400 batting average. Daniel Dickinson and Burke Camper have eight home runs each and Garrett Broussard leads the team with nine home runs and 25 RBIs. UVU is eighth in the nation with 50 home runs. Blazer pitchers carry a 6.60 earned run average.
