ABILENE – Abilene Christian's soccer team received academic recognition from United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced on Wednesday.
ACU earned the right to be included in USC's College Team Academic Award list. The Wildcats easily cleared the bar of a 3.0 grade point average, registering a 3.58 for the season.
"This award shows the hard work and dedication this team has put in this year," said ACU Head Coach Stephen Salas. "Over the past 10 years, since joining Division I, we've never had below a 3.50 Team GPA. This year is no different from our standard of excellence. These soccer student-athletes have proven they can excel in the classroom and on the field. We are raising the standard this next year with our 2023-2024 goal to be a 3.70 Team GPA."
