ABILENE – Three Abilene Christian football players made Dave Campbell's All-Texas Non-FBS team, including Defensive Back of the Year
Patrick Jolly.
Cirby Coheley made the team as a linebacker and
Kyle Ramsey as the placekicker.
Jolly, a senior from Tampa, Fla., finished ninth nationally with four interceptions and sixth in the FCS with 14 passes defended. He led the United Athletic Conference in both categories and interceptions per game.
Coheley, a junior from Iowa Park, had 61 tackles and had his best game in the season finale at Texas A&M when he had 13 tackles, three sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown. He earned FedEx National Player of the Week for that performance.
Ramsey, a sophomore from Missouri City, finished the season with a 93.3 percent field goal percentage, going 14 of 15 on the season. He has three of the top four field goals in terms of distance and was four of five this season in field goal attempts beyond 50 yards.
