ABILENE – Abilene Christian finished off the volleyball regular season with a 3-1 loss at the hands of Tarleton State on Monday.
The Texans won 26-24, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19.
The loss puts Abilene Christian in the WAC Tournament later this week as the No. 8 seed and the Wildcats will face top-seeded Stephen F. Austin in the first round.
Bryley Steinhilber had a double-double with 14 kills and a dozen digs for the Cats.
Madeline Guffy had 37 assists and six aces on the night.
Defensively,
Sara Carrizales had 19 digs, followed by
Andie Sheppard with 16, Steinhilber with 12 and
Abby Christian with 10.
Braden Bossier was in on three blocks.
The time of ACU's WAC Tournament match against SFA in Orem, Utah, will be announced later by the league.
